WORK HEALTH & SAFETY
At Werner Engineering, the safety and well-being of everyone on site is our top priority.
We are committed to maintaining a safe and well organised environment through training, clear communication and proactive safety measures.
Our employees regularly participate in safety refresher courses and watch safety videos at every toolbox meeting.
We encourage open discussions about safety concerns and empower our team to take responsibility for their own and their colleagues’ well-being. Every morning, each team member completes a ‘Take 5’ safety check, reviewing potential hazards before starting work.
Hand safety is a focus, as we are well aware to the common risks of cuts and injuries. To minimise these risks, we provide mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) for all employees and ensure it is used properly at all times.
We hold a pre-start meeting every morning during which safety hazards are reviewed, tasks for the day are assigned and the cleanliness and organisation of the workshop are brought home and emphasised. Keeping the workspace tidy is key to preventing accidents and ensuring smooth operations.
Werner Engineering has a dedicated panel of emergency personnel, all trained in first aid, CPR and fire safety. We conduct two fire drills each year and schedule additional drills when new emergency personnel join the team. First aid kits, defibrillators and all necessary safety equipment are readily available throughout the premises, and all employees are trained in the proper use of fire extinguishers.
From the moment anyone is inducted at Werner Engineering, they are made aware of our safety protocols, including the location of the master assembly point in case of an emergency.
Our commitment to safety is solid and unwavering. By maintaining these high standards, we ensure a secure, productive environment for everyone who works at Werner Engineering and all who enter our premises.
