When we realised that we needed a better way to store our specialised tooling, we took the opportunity to design and build something practical and unique that met our needs to a T.

This tooling is critical for delivering the top-quality machining that our customers have come to expect of us. And with new, state-of-the-art machines on their way, we knew we needed more space and a better system to keep things organised and easily accessible. So our team of supervisors, draftsmen, directors and managers rolled up their sleeves and got to work, brainstorming to create a solution that would be functional, efficient and set a new standard in the Werner Engineering workshop.

Once the plan was finalised, our draftsmen brought it to life with detailed 3D drawings. From there we sourced the materials and our skilled boilermakers and fitters got to work crafting the new racking system. Meanwhile, the storage space got a full refresh, with a fresh coat of paint, ground floors and new sealant in readiness for the upgrade.

The finished racking is a one-of-a-kind design, with spots tailored to fit each tool perfectly. This ensures that our equipment is safely stored, protected from rust and damage and ready to deliver precision cuts when needed.
